  1. “…and he said, ‘wow, your pond has some spiraling energy going on!'” You just gave me an idea for a space that I’ve been wanting to turn into a rain garden and tiny wildlife pond. 🙂 I can’t do much else but plan and envision, but physically moving about the intended space, in the snow, will indeed infuse energy and intention into what I desire to create. Thanks so much!

    1. Awesome! I’m glad the post was useful to you! And yes, you can start working the space long before you put anything there :). May the snowfall last long for you!

  2. Wonderful… is the invitation to go and tread paths into the snow. We have all enjoyed this as children and should enjoy this as adults. Tonight I was blessed to walk down the main street of my community, during a snow storm, in the middle of the road that was void of vehicles. Lit only by the street lamps, the snow falling.

    1. Yes, exactly :). We did this instinctively as children, right? But now, we can do it as an intentional, magical act. Thanks for the comment.

  3. I just had a chance to read this full post after our Imbolc gathering. No snow here right now, but these are some great ideas! I especially appreciate knowing there is an official sigil for fighting fracking. Our Imbolc ceremony focused on sending healing energy to the poisoned waters and purifying all the out of control radioactive fires burning in the background right now. Brighid and Mama Earth are calling … We best listen and respond in whatever ways we can — magical, mundane, and everything in between. Thank you for these additional tools, Dana!

    1. You are most welcome! Our snow is quickly melting here today…but I think there is enough still for my celebration :).

      1. Wishing you a Blessed Imbolc! Thanks again for that fracking sigil. I had thought there MUST be something like that but had not come across anything. I’ll share that with some others with pipelines set to go through their backyards. So far the blocking spells and elementals interfering with progress have helped keep things at bay, but a sigil can work in the background.

I wonder if it would help for that situation in L.A. Have you heard of that out of control fire for the past many months? It’s likely being caused by a leaking fracked well, which is now leaking into other wells … leaking radon all over the San Fernando Valley, causing 1000’s to evacuate … with almost zero media coverage. Meanwhile, it could actually blow, as in a huge explosion. Then there’s St. Louis’s underground nuke waste fire … not fracking caused (that we know of) … but certainly no shortage of situations needing attention on various levels.

        1. The Warrior’s Call group has been organizing global rituals for a number of years. Star and Thorn Grove did a bunch with them–we did their earthweb ritual in 2014, and have done most of the others as well. Its a really nice group of people doing good things! So yeah, I’m happy to spread the word about them.

I have been following the fire in LA–just horrible. Its like, no amount of tragedy or misfortune will even get people to stop, to pause, to think. Its a really sad thing :(.

          1. Thanks, Dana. When this L.A. fire popped up, it explained why I had a run of unusually negative tarot readings the summer of 2015 for people who lived right in that area. I kept seeing the Tower Card and the need to flee an external situation — that this was not a metaphor of something in their life but an actual something in their environment that they would need to be prepared for. No one liked those messages, but we discussed ways of being prepared in the event of an evacuation. When this happened in the fall and caused evacuations, I was like, hmmm, so that’s what those readings were about. It made me wonder how long the leak had really been going on, though, because the readings weren’t indicating how to prevent whatever it was, but that something in the environment there was going to cause them to leave their homes and they would be wise to do so sooner rather than later.

I really don’t know what will wake people up, but I am encouraged that at least some people ARE waking up and doing what they can to shift things under their influence. I’ll check out The Warrior’s Call group! Thanks for all you do!

This is an excellent post with great ideas for those of us who have snow for Imbolc.
